Boosting Your Search Engine Ranking
SEO stands for search engine optimisation, a website improvement process consisting in the review of its current content to find targeted and relevant keyword phrases with the ultimate goal to boost search engine ranking. From several years to date, webmasters talk insistently about it because an optimised website appears on top of others when someone queries a search engine for specific keywords or whole phrases.
The search engine optimisation process involves but is not limited to content, but also HTML redesigning and meta tag analysis and link building, something that only an SEO specialist or Internet marketing service can do efficiently, although many webmasters have learnt on their own the “do-it-yourself” method. Why the importance of undergo an optimisation process? Basically because most people do not type any website address directly in the browser address bar other than the URL of a search engine from which they click after querying for something.
Many people have made of popular search engines such as Google, Yahoo, MSN Bing or Ask their home address, this is, the website that opens with the browser. Once an individual types in any term into the search box field, search engines return a list of results from which he/she clicks on to visit a website, and every engine assigns different ranks to the listed websites.
Since most search engines are setup to display ten results at a time, search engine optimisation is needed to stay on top of those results. Every search engine manages different ranking algorithms and indexing methods to prevent spam websites get a better ranking over valuable content pages. Due to search engines keep their ranking factors undisclosed and algorithms differ from one another, submitting a newly-created website after optimisation may ensure best positioning.
However search engine optimisation do not guarantee instant results since most search engines update their indexes few days after their crawlers visit each website, but getting a link back from a reputable and established website speeds up the indexing process.
Hi And Welcome To My SEO Site
Hi gang,
Welcome to my new SEO mini site. I say mini because I don’t actually intend to post long rambling posts like a usually do on my other SEO site; here I would rather just say what I want now and again and be done with it. I will try and put in some useful snippets of search engine optimisation advice however, so if you are interested in that then feel free to check out this site. You never know you might actually learn something.
For those of you that are saying to themselves “what the hell is this guy on about!?” well let me put you at ease. Search engine optimisation is a process in which you try to get a website ranking higher in the search engines. It really is as simple as that.
The reason why people do this is also quite simple (no complicated stuff here thank god!) so they can get more visitors to their website, the more visitors they have the more cash, moola, wonga, bling, green, dough etc they make. That is of course if their site is commercial.
A little bit about me, well I am coming up for the big 30 soon, not looking forward to it but I guess everyone needs to at some point. I currently work from home doing some freelance SEO work for a few clients, so far so good. I only actually started this freelance lark a few months back but I am enjoying it so far.
Working from home however has its drawbacks as well as its benefits but that’s an entirely different blog post.
Anyway I though I should introduce myself, I hope anyone who finds this site has a good time reading it, if you do then bugger off!
